Linda Belonje, Director of Marketing and Development at KIS International School in Thailand runs an event each year to attract prospective families to the school.
Linda shared “we run this every year with a different theme. It started in 2011 as a way to replace our Open House. We found that most people attending our Open Houses were parents of Early Years children and many of them had visited the school already anyway. So we decided to create an event that would add value to families, provide an opportunity to spend family time in a nice outdoor environment, and draw in parents who may not really be ready for or interested in an open house or school tour. They can choose to do a school tour if they are interested, and if not, at least these families will have seen the campus and learned a bit about our teachers and school, ready to generate good word of mouth or to consider us in the future. We started off getting around 30 families, but now we typically have around 100 families joining us.
Familes with young children are invited to join a morning of Bugs and Butterflies themed fun and games at KIS’s Bugs n Butterflies Picnic on Saturday February 2, 2019 from 09:00-12:00.
The picnic features lots of exciting activities including outdoor play, puppet show, games, arts and crafts. All families with young children are welcome to join and the planned activities are ideal for children from 2 to 6 years old. Entry is Bt 400 per family, and food and drinks will be served. (Sadly this event was postponed for 2019 as the Ministry of Education closed all schools in Bangkok for several days due to poor air quality. We really do have much to be thankful for!)
